This week I am reading "Mrs. Lincoln's Dressmaker" by Jennifer Chiaverini. I am enjoying this historical novel.

"Mrs Lincoln could scarcely stroll down Pennsylvania Avenue without reporters setting telegraph lines abuzz with the news, so when she and her cousin Mrs. Grimsley traveled to New York on a shopping expedition in early May, newspapermen hounded their every step."  (Sounds like Alex Baldwin wasn't the first to be hounded by paparazzi.) I'm reading this on my Nook, it says this is page 56.
