This week MizB at Should Be Reading's musing asks…
Do you have people online that you often discuss the books you read with? Not just book groups, but individual readers who share the same taste in books? If so, what do you like best about this? If not, do you wish you did?
The short and long of the issue is this: No I don't have anyone online I discuss the books I read with. Do I wish I did? I'm not sure, it would be fun for a while, but when it started to seem like work, than no I don't think I want to discuss books anymore. Did that make sense? It did to me!
On the other hand, if book blogging is considered a discussion of books. I do visit quite a few book bloggers, read their reviews and leave comments about a book I've read. I don't know if that is considered the same as this question is asking or not. I am a senior citizen, and I confuse very easily, so maybe I am confused again by this question. Whatever the case, I hope all on the east coast will stay safe from the nasty storm this week.

I'm confused by this question too, like you I discuss books on my blog and other book blogs too :)
ReplyDeleteStay safe if the storm heads your way!
I interpreted the question as you did. To whatever extent we "discuss" books, like in our visits to blogs, then that constitutes a book discussion for me, too.
ReplyDeleteI sent The Shadow Queen out last Friday...hope you get it soon!
Here's MY MUSING MONDAYS POST
I like to keep my thoughts to myself...well, except the ones I share on my blog...lol
ReplyDeleteI think I saw the question in the same way too. Not really one person but hunting more for the same book and leave your opinion.
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by.
I think that following and checking in with what my blogger friends are reading and sharing my own reading on my blog sidebar is a quite sufficient manner of "discussing" books. I often add books to my reading list on the basis of checking other's reading.
ReplyDeleteNow that you mention it, the question is a bit confusing!
ReplyDeleteYour new blog header is lovely!!
Your answer is longer by similar to mine.
