"Musing Mondays"


This week Miz B's musing asks…
Do you tend to read to the end of a chapter or can you stop anywhere?
Since I never know when hubby or someone else will be interrupting my reading, I can stop anywhere. I use a bookmark, and a small post-it sticker to mark where I stopped in a paper book. If nobody interrupts me and the next chapter is just a page or two away, I will read to the end of the chapter. 
The Nook and Kindle bookmark the page for me, so I just end my reading anywhere.  
Are you an end of the chapter reader or do you just put on the brakes and stop anywhere?

    Thanks for stopping by my Monday reading post....and yes, when we have company, we read less.

    I finished reading one book at my son's house on Saturday, as he was in and out doing errands, etc.

    I never have a bookmark on hand.
    which is one reason to like e-books, along with a number of reason to dislike them.....

    I try to end at a chapter but that's not always possible. I love ♥ your idea of the post-it note to mark the exact spot.

    I try to end at chapter breaks whenever possible, unless the chapter is very long (then I may not have enough time to finish it). Great muse this Monday!

    If I choose it will be at the end of a chapt but with family interuptions it can be anywhere and like you I will use a bookmark or the Kindle marks it for me.

    I find I just can't stop reading once I start! When I'm at home I can sit up until 5 o'clock in the morning to finish a book. That's why I like holiday reading. Then I have to stop to go to lunch or dinner or swim or talk to people.

    I have bookmarks but I'm hopeless at using them. I tend to turn the book over & put it on the chair until I come back.

    Yup when real life calls one has to stop whether mid conversation or mid chapter. I am like that too.
