Today while visiting Cindy's Book Club I noticed she had listed "Her Top 10 Books So Far This Year" Therefore, I decided to check and see which ones I had listed with 5 stars so far this year. Here is my list, the first 8 books received 5***** and the last two received 4****.
1. Jane Eyre, by Charlotte Bronte'*****
2. Vet In Harness, by James Herriot*****
3. Letters of a Woman Homesteader, by Elinore Pruitt Stewart*****
4. Oogy, by Larry Levin*****
5. Family Tree, by Barbara Delinsky*****
6. To Have and to Kill, by Mary Jane Clarke*****
7. A Turn In The Road, by Debbie Macomber*****
8. The Lost Summer of Louisa May Alcott, by Kelly O'Connor McNees*****
9. Texas Blue, by Jodi Thomas****
10. Summer Island, by Kristin Hannah****
That is quite an eclectic list. However, 2011 isn't over yet. May have to update this list at a later date, but that is it for today.
HAPPY READING!
I will have to try To Have and to Kill. Very nice mix indeed.
ReplyDeleteBTW - I am 35 and my mom got into Bachelor/ette, I think it is hilarious. Thanks for responding even though you don't watch :-)
Did you read all these books?
ReplyDeleteI was fortunate not to live behind such bars, LOL. We had the option of living in a High Rise Condo with elevators, or a low rise 4 to 5 storeys where I had to climb the stairs. I didn’t want to be stuck in a elevator if it broke.
In deed, my 60 something friends were stuck in an elevator for 6 hours. In another case, when they were fixing the elevators, it was either a lock in or lock out. They gave the notification, on Sunday, we are fixing the elevator from10 am to 5 pm, at this time , you either stay out or stay in.
I read 1-3-and 7 they were good books.
ReplyDeleteHi Ann! So glad to see you gave "The Lost Summer of Louisa May Alcott" 5 stars. I met the author, Kelly, when she came to speak to our writing group (www.saturdaywriters.blogspot.com)
ReplyDeleteShe is such a neat gal. She looks like she's about 18, but from what all she's done with her life so far, I know she's older than that! :)
I've only read the first two but I enjoyed them both! I've read all the Herriott books.
