"Y" is For Yellow Yarrow" ABC Wednesday

I took this picture of the lovely Yellow Yarrow the summer of 2009. I think they are rather lovely next to the coneflowers. I am still learning how to take artful pictures. Maybe some day I will learn how. I think I need to read a book on Photography, it would probably help. I would probably have to get one of those Photography For Dummies. Maybe then I could understand it. I hope you all enjoyed my choice for "Y" today, that was the best I could do.

    I love this shot of the yarrow and coneflowers. I have yellow yarrow with my coneflowers and I also have red yarrow and white yarrow in other parts of my garden.

    Yellow Yarrow -- perfect for the letter Y, and so much prettier than white yarrow. Yes, it looks great with the coneflowers (echinacea?).
    I'm sure there's a Photography for Dummies book out there, there seems to be a Dummies book for every subject imaginable, but I hesitate to buy them because I don't consider myself a dummy. (Although, when I make a mistake, I can be heard to mutter, "What a dummy, Davies!")
    Or maybe I just don't want to encourage the proliferation of those ubiquitous books.

    Gorgeous shot - my yarrow is white and if it were to bloom today it would match its snow blanket. Like the colors in this photo!

    I think you did just fine with this shot. Yellow and purple are complementary colors; together they bring out the best in each other.
