Teaser Tuesdays (Jan.4)
Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title and author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
My teaser is from Georgette Heyer's book BEHOLD, HERE'S POISON. This is a who done it book, about who poisoned the uncle. It is a fun read, I'm learning so many new words.
These articles the Superintendent turned out onto the desk, but there was nothing hidden under them. Randall was looking at the heterogeneous collection, a slight frown between his eyes. pg 99.
What book are you reading?

Interesting meme. Here's mine: Currently reading "The Lathe of Heaven" by Ursula K. Le Guin. My teasers come from page 131...
ReplyDelete"To be, the will to power must increase with each fulfillment, making the fulfillment only a step to a further one."
"As there was no visible limit to the power Haber wielded through Orr's dreams, so there was no end to his determination to improve the world."
I've read a couple of Heyer mysteries. I think I prefer her regency novels though.

I haven't heard of the author before but I hope you're enjoying the book :) You can find my teaser at The Bookish Snob
