The Library Thursday Blog Hop is a new weekly meme hosted by Lah @ LazyGirl Reads.
Each week, I will list which books I've picked up, put on hold, skimmed through at the library. It's a great way to see what other bloggers are browsing through while we are waiting for new titles to come out. And it's a blog hop! So you can make some more bloggy friends. YAY!
My books this week: Were... Letters of a Woman Homesteader, by Elinore Pruitt Stewart, and Vet In Harness, by James Herriot.
I never heard of either of these books. Here is my answer to this week's Booking Through Thursday.
ReplyDeleteOh, I used to love James Herriot stories. Is he still writing or is it an older book. I think my mom still has a book I gave my dad of his best stories. My dad has been gone fourteen years and I'm sure I gave it to him while I was in college which was twenty plus years ago. His stories are timeless.

I haven't heard of those either. Gotta love the library! :)
ReplyDeleteGigi Ann, enjoy your new books! :)
ReplyDelete@ Heather, Mr. Herriot died a few years ago. This is an older book, but, I don't ever remember reading it before. So borrowed it from the library. BTW they had to special order it from another library, as they had to do for the Letters of a Woman Homesteader. They both came on the same day. So will be busy trying to get them read in February.
ReplyDeleteAfter a long time I have gotten around to reading "In Company of Others" by Jan Karon
ReplyDeleteI love James Herriot's books. Enjoy your books.
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of these books. But I hope you enjoy them!!! Have a great week!!
