"N" Is For...." ABC Wednesday, and "One Stop Poetry"

                                             "N" Is For "Nap Time"


Lunch time is now over
You had your play time
You got a bit dirty
I washed your face and
said, "It's Nap time."
You fell to the floor
I kissed your forehead
Your eyes got all sleepy
You started to doze and
I said,  "Nighty, It's Nap time."
And now all I can think of
As I look at you there....
That "This Is Love"...
Happy Nap Time...

    Oh the picture is priceless, and your poem wonderful. I'm 70 years old and still remember a little poem my father taught me as a small child.

    "I'm sleepy, sleepy, sleepy
    and I want to go to bed.
    Had turkey for my dinner
    And 'lasses on my bread
    My hands are sticky, sticky,
    My face is dirty too.
    Here comes Mamma with the
    washrag, Boo Hoo Hoo."

    Love for the little ones (and the furry ones) comes in many forms. Watching them sleep peacefully is definitely one of them.
