Rewrite October 14, 2010
If you could rewrite the ending of any book, which book would it be? And how would you change it?
I had to think about this question for awhile, however, I finally came up with an answer. I would rewrite the ending to Nicholas Sparks "Safe Haven." I HATED the ending. To me it was a fantasy ending. An illusion to say the least. The rest of the story was alright except for the last chapter, it was in my opinion unbelievable. I know authors like to put new twists to the end of their stories, and it was a lousy twist he used at the end of this story. Surely, he could have come up with a better ending. I HATED, HATED, HATED it. If I wanted to read a ghost story, or Paranormal story BTW I DON'T READ GHOST and PARANORMAL STORIES, there are many in that genre to choose from, therefore, I HATED the ending. Spoilt the whole book for me. Sorry Mr. Sparks, I am only one reader, but I hated the ending.
