This week The BBH is being hosted by Julie @ Knitting And Sundries. Thanks Julie. She ask the question...
How did you find out about book blogging and what made you decide to start one yourself?
I started blogging my guess would be in 2006. I started blogging for my own entertainment, and that is why I blog even now. My first blog was "Ann's Quotes and Things". I started it because I love to collect quotes, and it is much easier to save them on a blog than always writing them in My Little Book Of Quotes. Next came "Ann's Moody Blues Photos" blog, I'm a bit moody, so thought this a good blog to keep my daily thoughts on. In January 2012 I started my blog "Book Lust Journal" where I post my thoughts about every book I read this past year. I also have my poetry blog, "Shadows Of My Mind."
And now this blog "Ann's Reading Corner." Since I love to read I thought this would be a good place to keep track of what I read with brief thoughts, "My Thoughts." I'm not much good at reviews, I just like little reminders about the book.
*How did I find out about book blogging?
I wanted a blog to keep track of what I was reading, therefore, came this blog, "Ann's Reading Corner." I didn't realize there were other book blogs out in the blogosphere, until one day Cheryl, @ CMash Reads ask me why I didn't have my follower thingy up so she could follow my blog? So, I put up the follower thingy for Cheryl, I started following her book blog, and it just progressed from there, with a little (big) help from Cheryl. I visit her almost everyday, if you don't know Cheryl hop on over and give her a shout out.
Along with keeping track of the books I read, I enjoy the book memes each week, and I get to meet many more book bloggers that way, and now my TBR pile is huge, and my wishlist just keeps growing.
I'm so glad you blog - I love reading your reviews. You're right, my TBR pile is getting a little unruly, but there's so much good stuff to read!
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday!
Thank you so much for the short out. Yup, that's me, the one who has no clue when it comes to computers and the scope of my tech lingo="thingy". And ever since that day, when you added that thingy, I have hounded you to try different things and you did, with pure efficiency and professionalism. You are an inspiration. Again, thank you!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd...your blog is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you put the follower "thingy" up to and that you blog.
Bloggers are the BEST.
Stop by my blog if you like to read my story. :)

ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Book blogging has been especially handy in keeping track of my books. I can't tell if my growing wishlist is a great thing or a bad thing.
