"Teaser Tuesdays"


Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following.
 Grab your current read.
Open to a random page
Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page

  • This week I read  "A Stolen Life" by Jaycee Dugard.  It was not a fun book to read, is was sad. My review is the post below.
I hear the lock rattle and know he is coming to feed me. I am very hungry today. I can't remember the last time I ate. I'm not sure how long I have been in this room. I tell myself I should start counting days because when I am rescued I will need to be able to know how long I have been in this room. pg. 29.

    A Stolen Life would be very difficult for me to read.

    Not sure I could read this..but feel I should.

    Amazing that she had the faith that she would one day be rescued.

    Good teaser! We both read this too and liked it--very gripping and interesting story. Pretty unbelievable what this girl went through and survived with such a good attitude toward life.

    I don't think I could read this one, the story is just so heartbreaking.

    But you did pick a good teaser, I'm thinking you captured the book well with that.

    Wow, intense. I'm not sure if I'd be able to read this book. I'm sure it's amazing... just not sure I could get through it. It must be a very sad one. It's on my TBR list, but I haven't tried it yet. I'm interested to see what you think of it when you're done.

    I want to read this book. I think it is going to be a hard but gripping one so I have put it off until I get my little in school next week. I will have the time to devote to it then. Great teaser. Sorry it took me so long to post - I have had a problem getting into some of the blogs this week and also was ill. Maybe it was google telling me to get back in bed. LOL. Happy I got in today though. I wouldn't have wanted to miss this snippet.
