This week’s musing hosted by MizB is… a book meme!
What was the last book you…
• borrowed from the library? The Lone Texan, by Jodi Thomas
• bought? I bought two yesterday: Keep a Little Secret, by Dorothy Garlock, and Family By Design, by Bonnie K. Winn
• cried over? The Stolen Life, by Jaycee Dugard
• disliked and couldn’t finish? The Summer I Dared, by Barbara Delinsky
• read & loved? The Midwife's Confession, by Diane Chamberlain
• got for review? (or: got in the mail?) A 3 book Series, Blood Money, Rio Star, Reef Runner, by Pepper Smith. I received them on Saturday.
• gave to someone else? The Help, by Kathryn Stockett. Mailed it to a book reader in Nevada.
• stayed up too late reading? The Midwife's Confession, by Diane Chamberlain
I can honestly say, I have never read any of those books. Although I have enjoyed a Dorothy Garlock book or two before. This one took me a little while to think about. To find out my answers check out My Monday Musing.
ReplyDeleteOh I have heard great things about the Midwife's Confession. I have another Diane Chamberlain - one from the library actually - on my TBR pile. I was going to start with that one, but maybe I'll just skip straight to The Midwife's Confession instead!

I must say, i am curious about the Dugard
ReplyDeletebook. I saw her interview on TV and she seems like such an amazing woman considering what she has been through.
I am definitely adding Midwife's Confession to by TBR pile! And a 3 part series to review? Sounds like a lot of work!! Have fun!
ReplyDeleteNice list!

Hey, that was really nice of you to mail a book to another book lover :)
ReplyDeleteHere's my Weekly Meme: Musing Mondays (August 29) post!
Terrific meme!
ReplyDeleteGigi, I am taking a short break from blogging but hope to be back soon.
I really want to read that Diane Chamberlain book. It's on my wishlist.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to try the Midwife's Confession.

I am really keen to read The Help before the movie comes out. There are so many books out there that I want to read, that sometimes Im gald they are turned into movies just because it make me prioritise them!
ReplyDeleteGreat list.
