"Teaser Tuesdays"


Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
This week I am reading "The Help" by Kathryn Stockett. I have heard so many nice things about this book, and so far I am enjoying it.

I slip in and keep the door cracked. I crouch up on the toilet seat so he can't see my feet under the door. It's dark in here and hot. I feel like my head's on fire. pg. 62.

    That sounds intense. I started this book last year but I didn't get very far. I know I need to give it another try. This week my teaser is from The Iron Knight.

    Such a fabulous book! I am supposed to be rereading it for my bookclub but not sure I will get to it before next week.

    Something unusual for me this week - a non fiction teaser!

    Very nice!! My neighbor won early screening passes to see the movie and loved it so much that she is reading the book. I'll have to see if I can borrow it.

    I really enjoyed this one when I read it last year - it brings tears to my eyes to recall it.

    It's hard for me to take part in the teaser as I tend to read several books at once. Right now they tend to be about fantasy themes in prep for some books series ideas I have. Stuff about mermaid myths, aliens from other planets, faeries, and stuff.
