"Booking Through Thursday"

Do you read book reviews? Whose do you trust? Do they affect your reading habits? Your buying habits?
I would have to say I read some book reviews. If it is a new author and book I am wondering about, I google it and read a few different reviews. To a certain point reading some reviews do affect whether I will read, or buy a book. 


Whose book reviews do I trust? Well, if you take a peek at my sidebar you will notice a few book bloggers, I trust them to write honest reviews. I also read reviews on Goodreads, just because their is such a variety of different opinions. I usually know the genres I enjoy reading, and I find the different viewpoints about books at Goodreads fun to read. 


How about you, do read book reviews?

    I need to get out to Goodreads and really figure things out there. I use it but I don't think to its fullest.

    I am like you. I know who I know I can trust to write honest reviews and it's because of their reviews that my tbr is so big.

    Yes, we do have our trusted bloggers whose reviews we enjoy. Even though I belong to Goodreads, I must admit that I seldom read reviews there...hmm.

    I read book reviews if I'm interested in a book. Most are on other blogs, Amazon, or in the NY Times Book Review.

    I usually don't. I tend to read the same authors or find new ones based upon friends recomendations

    I like reading books reviews especially when the reviews are so diverse. And I love when someone is so over the top excited about a book.

    I trust bloggers too. They give the most honest reviews, plus I've gotten to know which ones I have similar reading tastes with.
