Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
Last week I read "Nerve" an interesting book about poise under pressure, serenity under stress, and the brave new science of fear and cool. This week I wanted some lighter reading, therefore, I choose this book, Electric Blue, by Nancy Bush. Jane Kelly is a new and worthy addition to the private investigator scene. Unique and extremely likable, she has a quick wit. Move over, Stephanie Plum. You've got competition from Nancy Bush's funny, feisty, immensely likable new heroine.
Oh, I love following characters in mysteries...this one sounds delightful.

Terrific teaser! I also like the cover. (There is a song that goes: Blue blue electric blue. . . .)
ReplyDeleteThis sounds so good! I have this series in my TBR.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed that teaser but I have to say you have me intrigued for Nerve also.
ReplyDeleteHave you read any of Charles Baxter books?
