We all become friends/followers but most of us will never meet in person, this feature is to help us all get to know each other better.
Each Thursday Dollycas will post 3 questions for you to answer
that you can copy and post on your blog with your answers.
Here are this weeks 3 questions.
1. How many cookbooks do you own?
I would guess six, I really don't know exactly.
2. What is the most used electrical appliance in your kitchen?
The Microwave oven.
3. How many nights per week do you have take-out, delivery or fast food?
We eat out for lunch almost everyday. We eat whatever we can find for supper at home. Sometimes it's leftovers from lunch. There's always things in the freezer that we can just heat in the microwave. Baked potatoes with the fixings always makes an easy supper.

Cheating March 3, 2011
Do you cheat and peek at the ends of books? (Come on, be honest.)Actually, to be honest, no I don't peek at the ends of books. I feel it would ruin the story, especially if it is a mystery, or a suspense/thriller book. If I am reading a boring book and just can't stand reading anymore, I may go to the end to see how the main characters ended up, but that is just because I'm not going to finish the book anyway. How about you, do you peek?
I am so shocked by how many people actually peek! I just can't or I'll ruin everything haha. I'm not as bad as my mom, though, who thinks even reading the back blurb or the jacket cover ruins the book. Guess she doesn't read my blogs!
ReplyDeleteI peeked at the Author's notes at the end of a book once, only to find that it was complete fiction not fiction based on fact.
ReplyDeleteI ended up not reading the book and it is still on my TBR shelf. :(
That will teach me!

I don't peek anymore, but definitely 'guilty' in the past :)
ReplyDeleteHere's my Cheating (Booking Through Thursday) post!
Here is my answer: http://bookskidsanimalsandmore.blogspot.com/2011/03/booking-through-thursday.html I think you will find it similar to yours.
ReplyDeleteYes, I peek at the book's ending but only for some books.
ReplyDeleteMy answer is here @ Whatever You Can Still Betray
I agree, what would be the purpose of reading a book for pleasure and then look at the ending. I would say microwave and dishwasher come in 2nd in my house.
ReplyDeleteSometimes you’re allowed to peek.

I sort of do, but the circumstances you'll find here in MY BOOKING ON THURSDAY POST
ReplyDeleteBTW, that first meme looks good, too; I'll have to try it sometime.
We think alike! I very rarely peek at endings - especially since so many of the books I read are mysteries and the ending is frequently the best part!
ReplyDeleteOh, and in my kitchen the microwave is most definitely the "most used electrical appliance" - don't know how I ever lived without one!
I have more cookbooks than I can count! I think I'm always looking for that one easy recipe that we will just love. Emphasis on the easy.
ReplyDeleteI am so ashamed I peek all the time.
ReplyDeleteSally.

Sometimes I do look ahead, but I don't think it is cheating.
ReplyDeleteWow! You eat our for lunch almost every day. You must have good restaurants nearby.
ReplyDeleteAs for me, I have many cookbooks, but probably only really use a handful of them. I like easy recipes best.
I don't read the endings to stories first--that would spoil them for me. But, like you, I might take a look at the ending if I had decided not to finish a book.
I am definitely not a peeker!!!
ReplyDeleteOur microwave is seriously overworked too!!
Heey
ReplyDeleteComlpetely agree with ur answer to BTT!! My Microwave is actually a bit neglected, maybe I should spent more time with it! I'm a new follower!
Hop over if you have the time!!

I try to just make something easy for week day dinners too! The weekdays are busy enough as is!
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way. I especially love suspense and mystery books and it would really ruin it for me if I peeked.
ReplyDeleteI dont peek either, I dont want to ruin it for myself :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend.
