"Musing Mondays"

Is there a book you absolutely love, but for some reason, people never think it sounds interesting, or maybe they read it and don’t like it at all?

I have found over the years that books I love may not necessarily mean that others will love that book as much as I do. Therefore, I hardly ever share with others books I love.  However, here on my blog I recommend books I like or dislike, but, mostly I think we each have genres we like better than others, so books I love may not necessarily be books that someone else loves. I do have a friend that borrows books from me, and sometimes she will ask, "Do you have anymore books by such and such an author? Or, do you have the next book in this series?"  Because, we love those books we share our thoughts.

Well that about wraps up the answer to this question for me.

  2. There are so many genres for everyone. So it does not matter if anyone dislikes what I love or vice versa!

  3. Ain't this the truth? One of my daughts loves Crime and Punishment. Accch - I had to push myself to even finish it never mind planning on reading it several more times. To each his own and that's a good thing.

  4. So true. I once gave one of my favorite books to a young friend who hated it- and broke my heart in the process! But on the blog it's easier & there's less at stake when it comes to recommending books!

  6. I love blog visiting, where sometimes I enjoy the same books as the blogger, and other times, not. When I see something recommended, though, I do like to ponder and possibly try it.

  7. Interesting post! What we enjoy reading is quite subjective. No two readers will read a book in exactly the same way. :)
