I don't remember the first book I bought but I recall some of the first library books ever borrowed were written by Marguerite Henry. She wrote the most wonderful books about horses. My favourite was the White Stallions of Lipizza.
One of the first books I was ever given was Black Beauty by Anna Sewell. A gift from my grandparents. Oh, how I love that book. I still have it, in fact, despite its loss of front cover and yellowed pages. It will remain, always, a favourite.
I took a wild guess based on some fractured memories as to what mine could possibly be. Otherwise I have no clue :P
ReplyDeleteI don't remember first bought book, but I do remember first library book checked out. Check out my answer for Booking Through Thursday.
