Even I read things other than books from time to time … like, Magazines! What magazines/journals do you read?

I read "Reader's Digest" and some Bible based journals, and our local weekly newspaper. I think that about covers the magazines/journals I read. 


Years ago, when I lived in the country, I subscribed to many of the women's magazines. I find today that they have changed so much I no longer enjoy even looking at them. Now that I have more time to read I prefer Books.

    Oh, I forgot about Reader's Digest! Someone from my office always brings that one into the break room. It's perfect for my lunch break.

    I forgot about newspapers! I used to read USA Today with the paper, but my university dropped it. :-/

    I love Country Living and All You magazines! Country Living for all the beautiful rooms to drool over, and All You for so many reasons! It's not expensive, it has tons of coupons that I actually use, it's all about "normal" and "real" women...not too thin, and too beautiful models! :)

    I used to collect old magazines 20's 30's and the war magazines in 1940's. Many happy hours looking at them.I do not buy magazines of today, like you I don't like them.

    I never buy magazines now.

    However I love to look through cruise brochures. They're free. What a saddoe!

    You're right about the women's magazines changing. And not for the better, I think. I have a collection of old Mademoiselles and Glamours, and a few old McCalls magazines (love the Betsy McCall paper dolls) - and they were so much more interesting than the magazines these days.

    I love Reader's Digest- we always had it at home growing up. So fun. I love magazines & read them all the time, especially at the gym. The New Yorker is my favorite.
