Today was Physical Therapy Day for Tony. His little Therapist today was Jessie. That's her in the picture.
If you click on the pictures they will enlarge. Just thought I would remind you.
The leg weight is made up of two cans of green beans in a shopping bag. Cheaper than buying two pound leg weights, and it does the job just as well.
The bruising just showed up in the last few days, nothing to be concerned about, it is not sore, but then again, his pain meds do have narcotics in them. No really, it is part of the process. Notice the little pieces of tape, no more bandages, and he is so happy, he can shower again. Yippee!!!
Jessie is measuring to see how far back he can bend his knee. He is doing quite well.
Here, he has to hold his leg as straight as he can to the count of five, and then he slowly lets it down and does it nine more times.
In this exercise he does the opposite, he tries to pull his knee back as far as he can. He has to repeat that exercise 10 times also. Actually, he has to repeat all his exercises 10 repeats. Did you notice Joey is always with him cheering him on?
This was his new exercise added today. It is a piece of rubber that is wrapped around his leg, the Therapist pulls it tight and he pulls his knee back for a few seconds, and you got it, do it ten times. That was the last exercise he has to do. He has to repeat all his exercises three times a day. I will only have to help him on the last one, unless he can find something to tie it to.

There are a few more that he does, but I didn't photograph them all.
