Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
I am a Jane Austen fan and enjoy reading books based on her writings. I also enjoy the movies based on her books. Last night I watched the DVD, Lost In Austen. It was a different twist on Pride and Prejudice, I rather enjoyed it.
This week I am reading, "Mr. Darcy Broke My Heart" by, Beth Pattillo.
"Good morning." I tried to remember to breathe and to close my mouth rather than letting my jaw sag at the stubble that framed his square jaw. He didn't look as if he'd slept at all, which, irritatingly enough, made him look all the more attractive. "What are you doing here?" pg. 169.
Hmmmmm. not sure what to make of that teaser...has me thinking.

I love P&P and all it's renditions. That just made me laugh out loud.
ReplyDeleteCute! Had no idea that P&P had so many fanfic books :)

ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun read. So far, I haven't read any of the books based on Austen's characters, but there really are a lot of them! I've heard a lot of good things about this one. Love the teaser!
ReplyDeleteLoved Lost in Austen. I haven't read any of the spin-offs either, mainly because I haven't read the actual books!
