This week’s musing asks…
What book tops your TBR (to be read) pile right now? Is it something you own, or something you have to borrow, or something you’ll be purchasing? Why do you want to read it so badly?
The book topping my TBR pile right now is something I will be purchasing. It is Nicholas Sparks coming book, Safe Haven, the published date is on Tuesday, September 14, 2010. Why do I want to read it so badly? Because Mr. Sparks is one of my favorite light romance storytellers. I will be visiting Barnes and Noble, on that date, if at all possible.
Synopsis:
Cover of Safe Haven
When a mysterious young woman named Katie appears in the small North Carolina town of Southport, her sudden arrival raises questions about her past. Beautiful yet self-effacing, Katie seems determined to avoid forming personal ties until a series of events draws her into two reluctant relationships: one with Alex, a widowed store owner with a kind heart and two young children; and another with her plainspoken single neighbor, Jo. Despite her reservations, Katie slowly begins to let down her guard, putting down roots in the close-knit community and becoming increasingly attached to Alex and his family.
Oh, this one sounds totally engaging! I love that cover, too. Nicholas Sparks books are definitely engrossing (and romantic!).

This is awful...I think I am the only one on the planet that hasn't read one of his books. I was going to read one for the Awesome Author Challenge, and hopefully will, if I ever get through my TBR Review pile. My MM is here.

I read one book by Mr. Sparks..that was enough for me. :-)
ReplyDeleteBut it is not about me, is it? No, I have enough trouble picking my own next book...
I love Nicholas Sparks' books and will definitely have to add this one to my TBR list.
ReplyDeleteHere's my answer.
I hear good things about this author, but I like a bit more fantasy to my leisure reading. Besides, I don't have a TBR ...not really. I do have books I haven't read yet...but I am a mood reader...it really does depend on my mood as to what I will actually read next. Here' s mine
ReplyDeleteI'd also like to read Sparks' latest! Thanks for bringing this one to my attention.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read Sparks since Message in a Bottle when I threw it against the wall. I have watched a couple of the movies though. Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteLOVE Nicholas Sparks. Read Dear John a few months ago, and the movie didn't do it justice. Anyway, I haven't heard of this book, and I know I'll be reading it also! Thanks for the teaser.
