"Murder, She Wrote: Rum & Razors"

After a cold winter in Cabot Cove, Maine, and with another soon-to-be bestseller on the way to her publisher, mystery writer Jessica Fletcher is off to balmy St. Thomas with its aquamarine sea and white sand beaches.

But from the moment Jessica arrives at a four-star inn nestled by a beautiful lagoon, (Lover's Lagoon) she senses trouble in paradise. Owners Laurie and Walter Marschalk are in deep water over money troubles and competition from a big hotel nearby. Yet the gourmet food, and beautiful sunsets, chase away Jessica's concerns...until she finds Walter's throat-slit corpse at the edge of the lagoon. The island police think that a hot-tempered ex-employee is the killer. But for cool-headed Jessica it's time to unpack her talent for sleuthing...and discover if the serpent in this Eden is a slick business partner, a young travel writer, a rival hotelier or even lovely Laurie Marschalk herself.

I always enjoy my visits with Jessica Fletcher, and following her around as she unravels the mysteries surrounding the latest murder...This one was a fun romp around St. Thomas,  as she unravels one clue after another, until she figures out the whodunit .

I enjoyed it so much I have decided to award it 4 Rum and Coke stars....This book is part of my personal library.
