"Dropped Dead Stitch"

Spring has sprung for the knitters of Fort Connor, Colorado, and the House of Lambspun. But for one of Kelly Flynn's pals, things are coming apart at the seams...

Kelly's friend Jennifer is a top-notch knitter--and a bit of a party girl. But she's always stayed one step ahead of trouble, until the night a stranger follows her home. As Jennifer recovers from the dangerous encounter, she looks to Kelly and their other close-knit friends for comfort and support.

A retreat in the mountains, stitching and talking, seems to be just what the doctor ordered. So the gang heads up to a ranch in the picturesque Poudre Canyon. But they're all in for a shock, because the owner of the ranch turns out to be Jennifer's attacker. Now Jennifer has some hard choices to make--and when the man is found dead a few days later, Kelly does too. One of her best friends is the top suspect in a murder case--and few who were there are above suspicion. Kelly and crew will have to work fast, before someone is left dangling...

My Thoughts...

I really tried to like this book, however...it was a struggle. There was just to much mention of coffee, it seemed like there was reference made about coffee, coffee mugs, filler up again, for my taste. It got very irritating after a while. There was also a lot of other unnecessary filler, about flowers, friends, etc. Just tell the story and forget all the unnecessary filler...at least that is my little humble opinion!

I get it, she likes her coffee, yarn and friends. How many times do I need to be reminded...Oy! And all that knitting talk, just get on with the story, please. I felt like there was a lot of repetition, hashing over the same old information. I just couldn't enjoy this book and I really tried. I am really proud of myself I stayed with the story until the end, I awarded myself 5 stars for finishing the book. However, I am awarding the book 2 'dropped dead' stars. I really, really did not like this story. Will I ever read a book by this author again? Only if I feel the need to be tortured.

This book is a part of my personal library.

  1. Thank you for your honest review, Gigi Ann. I do like coffee, but I could see how this could get irritating.

  2. That is too bad about all the unnecessary fillers. I read one of the books in this authors series a while ago, and I felt the same way. You deserve 5 stars fr sticking with it!
