"Musing Mondays"

Musing Mondays is hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading. We are invited to talk about things related to books...This week I chose "The Library."

This past week I had two library books I needed to return and since Tuesday the temps shot up into the 40s I decided to take the short walk (3 blocks) from my house. I really enjoyed just relaxing on the couch in the relaxing reading area.

One of my favorite things to do is to visit the library and just set around reading surrounded by all those books. Does anyone else enjoy passing an hour or two at the library reading and exploring? Or is it just me?

  1. I used to love to do that very thing! Unfortunately, the library I now use has a very sterile feel to me, and it doesn't really invite staying and reading. I'm usually in and out pretty quickly.

  2. Right now, our library seems more acclimated to teen readers than adults. They refurbished the upstairs and made a teen section out of it. It's nicely done, but I wish they would have done something similar for older readers. Sitting in a straight back chair isn't appealing to me when I read.

Hope you'll visit me today at http://thebookconnectionccm.blogspot.com/2014/02/musing-mondays-3-books-february-24.html

  3. I love visiting the library although I don't do it as often now as I used to. I love looking amongst the shelves for the returned books and a good rummage in the non-fiction always means I find something to read that I didn't even know I wanted. Great post!

  4. Haven't done that for ages, though I used to love to! You've inspired me to pay a visit to the library soon...

  5. I do the same. I just have to drive as the library is several miles from my house.

  6. I just love to sit in the library and read. It's nice and quiet. I wish I had more time to do so.
