"First Day of Fall"

WOW!!! Where did the Summer go?
Here it is the first day of Fall, and I didn't get all the Summer books I had on my list read. Now! here it is time to decide what books will be on my Fall list of books to read. I love the Fall season best of all the 4 seasons.
Fall always makes me want to "Fall Into Reading." Therefore, to start off my Fall reading I have chosen a book from my 'Vintage' books. I think the copyright date is 1958. It is the Truman Capote book...
"Breakfast at Tiffany's"
which I've never read before. I have watched the movie with Audrey Hepburn a time or two, so decided to read the book. I read somewhere that the ending of the book is different from the movies ending, and like most books I always find them better then the movie versions anyway.
Does your reading selections change with the seasons?
I enjoy "Vintage" and "Cozy Mysteries" come Fall and Winter. Summer I enjoy Chick Lit and Beach books.
Now I'm off to my Reading Corner to "Fall Into Reading."

  1. Selections don't really change; just depends on what's available.

  2. I haven't read the book & I also haven't seen the film. Can't believe it. I tend to see clips.

Last week it was on telly & I watched for about 45 minutes then had to go out. One of these days!

Just checked out our local library catalogue & they have a couple of copies so it is on my list.

You said the ending was different in the book so just hope she found Cat. I've seen that clip numerous times.

  3. I have no idea where the summer went. My reading choices do change with the seasons too.
I love the film Breakfast at Tiffany's, I'll have to read the book one day. Happy reading! Happy Fall!
