Amy and Sarah both asked about genres:
Name a book you love in a genre you normally don’t care for. What made you decide to read it? Did it make you want to try more in that genre?
Bookish Sarah asks an interesting assortment of questions:
A genre I normally don't care for is the 'Thriller/Suspense' genre. I am more of a 'Cozy Mystery' genre reader. A book I read in the thriller/suspense genre was "The Lincoln Lawyer" by Michael Connelly. I read it after a movie was made based on the book. I decided I wanted to read the book before viewing the movie. Did it make me want to try more in that genre? I have to say yes to that! I enjoyed that book so much that I read two more of Michael Connelly's books in the series, they were: "The Brass Verdict" and "The Fifth Witness." Actually, they weren't as much thriller/suspense as I was expecting, which made me happy. But they always had an ending that I never saw coming. What genre do you avoid reading and why?
I avoid reading paranormal, anything to do with werewolves/witches/wizards, etc. I also don't read the YA genre either...I just have no interest in those sort of things.
How about you, do you have a preference to what genres you read?
