"Teaser Tuesdays"

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB oShould Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
This is a book I've put off reading for a few months, so pulled it off the bookshelf to read this week. It is "Emily and Einstein" by Linda Francis Lee.
My name is Emily Barlow, and I had never been good at sensing trouble. I didn't need to be. I made lists, mapped out plans, then moved forward with a calm certainty that everything would work out. (HC pg. 11)

  1. Interesting teaser! My teaser is from The Black Moth by Georgette Heyer.

  2. Ha, you know what they say about the best laid plans! Good teaser.

  3. Nice teaser and I just love that cover.

  4. Here's mine: I felt Jesse had a mild affection for me since I'd exercised some mighty creative financing to keep their farm afloat. They'd lost mony three of the last five years, and I'd found a means to stave off liquidation each time.
This is from a new book, Lowcountry Bribe, by C. Hope Clark, who is a blog buddy! It can be found on Amazon, and I'm sure other "usual" places. I haven't gotten very far in it yet, but it's very good!

  5. Nice cover and teaser.

  6. Wondering if Einstein is the dog. Great teaser.

  7. Sounds like someone's world is about to be turned on end. My teaser

  8. Thanks Becky!
