"Musing Mondays"

This week’s musing hosted by MizB asks…
How far along are you in your current read before you start thinking about what you’ll read next?
Sometimes it depends on what my schedule is for the week, I may choose my reading for the week ahead of time. But, I usually don't think about what I will be reading next. Because, depending on whether the book I am reading is a a fast-paced, or deeply intense book, sometimes makes my decision for me. After one of those books, I may decide I just want something light and fluffy.
However, last week I joined in The Winter Respite Read-A-Thon, therefore, I chose my books to read at the beginning of the week. That made things move along a bit better. Because, as I finished one book, I picked up the next one, and started reading it. I started the week off with two cozy mysteries, and finished the week with a "comfort food" book, and the last one was light and fluffy.
Tell me, do you choose your next book to read ahead of time?

your schedule?...see, that is where I go off the rails. I have no plan and little organization, so what I pick is usually a surprise!

I like to know what I'm reading next by at least 2 books. I'm dedicated to cleaning off some of these shelves this year.

I like to plan ahead and stack the mix of books with variety...mixing light and fluffy with dark and depressing.

I'm always all over the place. Whatever suits my fancy I'll read next :) Sometimes I do plan my reading week ahead of time if I'm on a schedule for reviews.

I don't pick the exact book I will read next but I do have a stash waiting. Sometimes the book I've been thinking I would pick up next just doesn't tickle my fancy at that moment and I move it to the back for the next time.

My books come from our public library. I usually have two on the shelf waiting to be read. Then depending on which one will be due first, how much time I have and whatever the mood fits, one gets picked. Also I always have a book on tape for driving and exercising and it can't be too similar or by the same author.

Gigi Ann
Hi, I am a Gigi Ann. (Gigi means Great Grandma). Now doesn't Gigi sound better than Great-grandma? I love to read, it is my favorite pastime. I am married to a pretty great grandpa. We celebrated our 53nd anniversary on July 3, 2011. We had 5 children, 3 Sons and 2 Daughters. And than along came 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, with one on the way... Which makes me a Gigi.. Instead of a Gramma... Actually, we are happy campers.
