"Musing Mondays"

This week’s musing hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading asks…
How do you decide to read a book by an author you haven’t read before? What sort of recommendations count most highly in making that decision?
Most of the time I read the dustcover, or the blurb on the back of the book. Other times I may go to Goodreads and check out what others who have read the book had to say about it. And of course I read a lot of the other book bloggers reviews, and find a lot of new books by new authors after visiting their blogs.

  2. Reading other blog reviews is what makes my wish list so long.

  4. I am the same way, read both the synopsis and bloggers' reviews but the genre also has to be something I enjoy. Hope you and Tony have a Happy Thanksgiving.

  6. I do the same things when I'm looking for book recommendations, especially the ones from other book bloggers.
