"Booking Through Thursday"

btt button
E-readers like the Kindle and iPad are sweeping the nation … do you have one? Do you like it? Do you find it changes your reading/buying habits? If you don’t have one, do you plan to?
I haven't bought an e-reader yet! Right now I have quite a few books on my TBR pile, and until I read them I can't justify buying an e-reader. I am one of those persons who cannot go in a bookstore and come out without a book. However, I am leaning toward buying one, but I think before I would buy one I would have to borrow one from a friend and see if I would like it.  Time will tell.

  1. I agree I'd like to test one properly before I buy one.

  2. My library actually loans eReaders -- they have the Nook and the Sony.

    My BTT is here.

  4. It's a good idea to test it. I really like my Kindle, but it probably isn't for everyone.

  5. I don't have an e-reader yet either - I might probably hold out for a long time since I get 99% of my books from the library.

  6. The decision was out of my hands when I was gifted with one! But I had the same thoughts you do...here's MY BTT POST and

  7. I have a Kindle and LOVE it. I prefer reading on it actually.

I like new books though, do not enjoy library or burrowed books from those that don't care and love them so the ebook is perfect for me.

  8. I love my Nook, though it will never take the place of "real" books. Here's my BTT.

I do recommend trying out different kinds until you find just the right "fit" for you!

  9. I have that same problem with book stores! At least with e-books, I don't have to worry about finding shelves for everything. Still prefer "real" books though.

  10. I do prefer reading the actual book.

  11. I think those of us who are book addicts, will always need print books around us. I have a bookcase just of tbr books and 2 EReaders with many tbr novels there too.

  13. I'm the same, I have such a huge TBR pile and those are just library books. I have quite a few books on my Kindle but I feel like I should read what I have from the library first because they have to go back. Of course I always end up getting more library books though!

Why would you like to get one? For traveling? To organize books in one place? Just for fun?

  14. If I had to justify my ereader by my TBR file I would never have gotten one, but of course now with the ereader my tbr list has quadroupled in size. Here's my BTT

  15. I love my Nook and I can't imagine life without it. It just makes it so much easier for me to have a huge TBR.

  16. I don't have one, but I can read books via computer or on my phone. But I much prefer the printed page. :)

  17. I read on both my Nook and in paper, and enjoy both. Guess it just depends on how open you are to trying something different.

  18. I dont have an ereader either. I'm too old fashioned.

  19. I have an e-reader but I feel guilty using it because, like you, I have way to many regular books in my TBR pile needing to be read!
