"Musing Mondays"

Musing Mondays is hosted by Miz B at Should Be Reading.
This week's musing asks…
Do you listen to audiobooks? Why, or why not?

I have listened to a few audiobooks. I especially like listening to Memoirs when they are read by the authors. Two I recently listened to were: "Home" by Julie Andrews, and "If You Ask Me..." by Betty White. I've also listened to a few novels. I plan on listening to some audio books in the next few months. Why? So I can crochet baby afghans for the new Great-grandbabies due in January, and May, 2012.

  2. I don't listen to audiobooks unless we're on the road to MA. Somehow at home I get distracted and lose somethings in the book. Betty White would be a good one to listen to though. I hope you enjoyed it.

  3. I have never listened to one, but I will keep that in mind when I pick up crocheting again.

  4. If I had a longer commute or traveled a lot, I might enjoy them more. But trying to use them in my everyday live, my mind tends to wander.

  5. my crochet To Be Made list is growing longer and longer (I'm making crochet pillows & cushions for holiday gifts this year). I should go snag a couple audiobooks to listen to while i do them! great idea!

  6. I wish I were better at listening to audio books! I know I could also multitask, but it would be hard for me to listen to more than a few minutes at a time. I need to plan a long drive around an audiobook! :)

  7. Memoirs are definitely better for audio books. I loved the Betty White one. Also, the Tina Fey one was funny.

  8. I have never listened to an audio book. I love the act of reading and hearing the authors voice in my head.

  9. That's a good idea Ann. I often read & knit but unless it's plain stuff I make mistakes. My last lace shawl had rows taken back more times than I care to remember. I had to stop watching telly too to get it finished.

Congratulations! How many great grand babies are coming?
