This week’s musing hosted my MizB asks…
I was reading a series, and it just seemed to be repeating the same old storyline, with the same characters. Oh there were some new clients to work for but it just seemed to me the story was the same as all the ones before it. The book was "Finger Lickin' Good" by Janet Evanovich. I got discussed after 63 pages, and never finished the book. What does it take for you to give up on a book you’re reading?
I gave up on another book, "Town In A Lobster Stew" by B.B. Haywood. I got over half of the book read, and went to the last few chapters and read them to see who did it and why. It just had to much unnecessary filler, and I said enough is enough.
If I am reading a book and it gets all trashy, steamy, and hot in the romance department, I give that book a pitch into the trash where it belongs and never finish reading it. I hate smut books. I don't care how great the storyline is, I still hate the smut and pitch it. I guess that about covers my reasons to give up on books I am reading.
