"Booking Through Thursday"

btt button
You’ve just had a long, hard, exhausting day, and all you want to do is curl up with something light, fun, easy, fluffy, distracting, and entertaining.
What book do you pick up?
I would probably pick up "Midnight Sons," by Debbie Macomber.
I find her books relaxing, entertaining and comfort food, so to speak.  Also some other favorite authors I would consider reading that I find quite entertaining are, Barbara Delinsky, Kristin Hannah and Elin Hilderbrand.
What book do you pick up?

  2. I actually have never heard of any of these authors. I'm feeling slighty embarrassed about that!

  3. Wow, all authors are new to me. I'll find out more about them and what kind of books they write. :)

  4. I've heard of all these authors, even contemplated some Kristin Hannah novels, but haven't read any yet. They would all be a good reading "break". I have reservations about Seabiscuit by Hilderbrand. It just was not so enjoyable for me. Perhaps her new novel would be.

Come by for a visit when you have a moment to read mine at: http://shirley-mybookshelf.blogspot.com/2011/08/distractions-from-cares-of-world-in.html.

  6. I agree. I just picked up a book by Johanna Lindsey for it's "light, fun, easy, fluffy, distracting, and entertaining" and enjoyed it over two days.

  9. I have only read Kristin H on your list and would agree.

Verse Novels are my new simple pleasure, I would go for Lisa Schroeder's verse novels.

  11. I haven't read those authors yet, but I have heard of them. If I want fluffy, I go for chic lit.
