What’s the latest you’ve ever stayed up reading a book? Is staying up late reading a usual thing for you?

I think the latest I've stayed up to read a book would be 3 or 4 o'clock in the morning. Most of the time it is not by choice, I usually have insomnia when I stay up that late to read. I wish it wasn't a usual thing for me, but lately it is becoming more common than I wish.  Nothing I hate worse than not being able to fall asleep.

  2. Shout-out from a fellow bookish insomniac. I find audiobooks help increase the chance that I might sleep... eventually.

  4. Insomnia..I remember those days, or should I say those nights. Now that you mention it, that's when I did read until the wee hours into the morning. But these days, medication allows me to be asleep by 10-11pm.

  8. I am so with you on the insomnia! I wish I could get to sleep but 2-3am is usually about normal for me lately.

  9. One of the reasons I don't read as much as I would like to is that I can't put books down. Have to stay up to finish a book I'm enjoying. I don't suffer from insomnia though. Quite the opposite, I can't wake up. I always thought that when you got older you didn't need as much sleep. It's a load of codswallop!

  11. Insomnia is another story...I stay up late with that sometimes and I'll read to try and make myself fall asleep. I don't stay up too late otherwise.
