"Miss Hildreth Wore Brown" Review

This book was a delightful read. I enjoyed it so much that I found myself laughing out loud more than once. Olivia deBelle Byrd, told real life instances with such a sense of humor.

The book is written in the form of short stories so it is a very quick and light read. Each story is interesting and some are “hilarious."

Example: On a trip to Boston...We almost lost my husband...An attractive young girl at the front desk was helping my husband and me with sightseeing information. A little side note is in order here for all you non-Southerners. In the south we address ladies "Ma'am" and it is a sign of respect...Being his polite Southern self, my husband began, "Ma'am" and the young lady quickly interrupted, "Don't call me "Ma'am." After calling her "Ma'am" a few more times, she said, "I said, DON'T CALL ME MA'AM!"...My husband had broken out in a cold sweat.... In the elevator I told him, "For the next 5 days try to remember you are in the North."

This was such a fun read, and I liked it and gave it 4****

I won this book in a book giveaway by Cheryl, at CMash Loves To Read. Thanks Cheryl.
