Do you read books “meant” for other age groups? Adult books when you were a child; Young-Adult books now that you’re grown; Picture books just for kicks … You know … books not “meant” for you. Or do you pretty much stick to what’s written for people your age?
I read books pretty much written for adults. When I was a child, I read what a child would read. As I grew, so did my reading selections. What can I say?
How about you, has your reading changed over the years?
I do hope that I have widened my selection over the years.

Intriguing question this week...I have been curious about what draws people to certain genres, and while I don't see myself scrambling after the YA fantasy/vampire books, I might pick up something from the YA genre if the characters or storyline draw me in.

My reading has changed, developed and grown into a greater spectrum as I've gotten older and particularly since I began blogging. I have my preferences but I won't say no to a good YA novel now and then.

I think my reading has changed over the years, but I do still read a lot of books that aren't really "aimed" at my age group. Of course, as I get older, I find that fewer and fewer books seem to be aimed at my age group!
ReplyDeleteYes, I like to mix it up sometimes, it makes reading more interesting.
ReplyDeleteMy reading habits do change but I still sometimes enjoy reading children's and young-adult books - especially classics, but also some more recent ones like Harry Potter.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty much the same way.
ReplyDeleteI have been chewing on a book that I waited so long to read, but now, just don't have the time.
