For Piper Donovan, joining the family business could be murder!
Piper is a struggling actress whose TV character and recent engagement have both been killed off, Piper Donovan has moved back home with her parents to sort out her life. Helping out at her mother's cake shop is just the break she needs, and her first job---creating a wedding cake for her friend, the acclaimed star of Piper's erstwhile soap---should be a piece of cake. But when someone close to the bride-to-be is horribly murdered in public, and it seems that someone is ruthlessly determined to stop the wedding.  Piper soon finds herself mixing it up with a killer.
With the help of her former neighbor, Jack, a handsome FBI agent with a soft spot for the gorgeous cake-maker, Piper moves closer to the truth. And as she narrows in on a suspect, she realizes that it's hotter in the kitchen than she may be able to handle...

My Thoughts: I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was a quick read and a page turner. Even though it was a cozy mystery, it also had some suspense, as well.
This is the first time I have read this author, Mary Jane Clark, but as I said, I really did like this book, so needless to say I gave it 5*****.
I borrowed this book from my local Library.

  3. This sounds good. I had read several of her KEY News thrillers but this sounds a bit sweeter. (Okay - pun intended.)
