Helping out at her mother's cake shop is just the break she needs, and her first job---creating a wedding cake for her friend, the acclaimed star of Piper's erstwhile soap---should be a piece of cake. But when someone close to the bride-to-be is horribly murdered in public, and it seems that someone is ruthlessly determined to stop the wedding.  Piper soon finds herself mixing it up with a killer.
With the help of her former neighbor, Jack, a handsome FBI agent with a soft spot for the gorgeous cake-maker, Piper moves closer to the truth. And as she narrows in on a suspect, she realizes that it's hotter in the kitchen than she may be able to handle...

My Thoughts: I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was a quick read and a page turner. Even though it was a cozy mystery, it also had some suspense, as well.
This is the first time I have read this author, Mary Jane Clark, but as I said, I really did like this book, so needless to say I gave it 5*****.
I borrowed this book from my local Library.

  3. This sounds good. I had read several of her KEY News thrillers but this sounds a bit sweeter. (Okay - pun intended.)

  4. This sounds like a nice cozy mystery!
