Something Old, Something New February 24, 2011
I'm really not picky about my books, I have both new and used books on my bookshelves. I shop at bookstores, used bookstores, library book sales, and garage sales, anywhere there are books I check them out. If I see books that interest me I buy them. I will not buy a book that is dirty, and what I mean by that is, it looks like it has been dropped in the mud and stomped on, I recently borrowed a book from the library that looked like someone had did just that. I never did finish reading the book, just returned it to the library. All other things being equal–do you prefer used books? Or new books? (The physical speciman, that is, not the title.) Does your preference differentiate between a standard kind of used book, and a pristine, leather-bound copy?
