Musing Mondays (Jan.3)

MUSING MONDAYS returns!! :D
This week’s musing is a simple one to start off the new year…
How many books did you read in 2010? If you had a reading goal, did you meet it? What books are you most looking forward to reading for 2011 (either new, OR ones that have sat on your shelves for a while)?
Since I didn't do a very good job of keeping track of all the books I read in 2010, the best I can come up with is 65. I plan on doing a better job of keeping track this year, 2011. I didn't have a reading goal, I just read for entertainment and recreation, so never set a goal of how many I will read each year. I just try to enjoy the ones I do read.

I'm looking forward to reading for 2011, 3 books already on my TRB list are:
"The Weird Sisters" by Eleanor Brown, release February 2011.
"Almost Home" by Mariah Stewart, release in Spring 2011.
"Harmony 3" by Jodi Thomas. I don't know what the title is yet, it is the third book in the Harmony series, release date is Fall of 2011.
"1105 Yakima Street" by Debbie Macomber. Release date September 2011.

As far as older books I have quite a few on my book shelves I hope to read this year. I would like to use the library more often this year, so if they have the books on my library list I will be reading them as well.

I keep telling myself I'm not buying anymore books until I read some to these books on my book shelves. However, every time I'm in a store, and walk by the books one or more leaps off the shelf and jumps in my shopping cart. Unbelievable, I know, but it happens!

This month along with trying to keep up with My Reading Corner, I am doing a fun meme "31 Days In Picture" at my blog here. Why not pay me a visit and see what is happening over there.

  6. I don't save books to read I read them as fast as I get them but I do read them over after about a year. Now with this e-reader how many are saved to read again don't know.

  8. I am behind on my Cedar Cove series (book 8). We (my mom, daughter and I) visited the town(s) that Debbie bases her series on and stopped by her tea room last fall. It was a delight.
