Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along!
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page. Being careful not to share a spoiler.
I will be reading "Behold, Here's Poison" by Georgette Heyer. This is a mystery. I've never read any of the author's books, so look forward to meeting a new author.
Mrs. Rumbold, beside whom Owen had seated himself, said in a confidential voice: "It is kind of horrid, isn't it? I mean, knowing poor Mr. Matthews, and all."
Owen looked round at her with the instinctive distrust of a shy man accosted by a stranger, and said: "Quite," in a stiff voice.

I never read anything by this author either, but I've heard good things. The teaser has my attention!
ReplyDeleteI love Heyer's romances but haven't tried her mysteries. I hope you are enjoying it. I have two teasers this week. My YA teaser is from Anna and the French Kiss and my adult teaser is from The Secret History of the Pink Carnation. I guess I was in a mood for romance. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI've added this author's name to my list of "Awesome Authors" to explore for one of my challenges this year.
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy it.

Wakela's World - Tuesday Teaser
Good teaser! I've never read any of Heyer's books, but I've got several on my TBR list. This is one I haven't heard of, so I'm adding it to the list. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know Heyer wrote mysteries. Thought she only wrote romances. Great teaser!
