This cutie, Jill, was one of the hostesses for the Pajama Party.
This is me, Gigi Ann, at the Pajama Party.
Okay ladies... you know you've been wanting to plan a Pajama Party and experience the crazy fun, laughter, and conversation you enjoyed at Pajama Parties you attended in your youth. Well... what's stopping you? Pajama Parties are a ritual girls of any age can celebrate and they should.
Most of us can reach back into the recesses of our memory banks and pull out a mental scrapbook (or a real one if you were that dedicated) of that rite of girlhood passage ~ the Pajama Party. Yes, those times reminiscent of fun, freedom, and endless possibilities. Why not plan a Pajama Party soon, they are more fun as adults.
This Pajama Party was on December 30, 1999. Those two beauties are my daughter Jill, and granddaughter Renee.

My youngest is name Jill Ann and I remember the pj party she and her sister had when they were in Junior high school. I stayed up what seamed like all night keeping the boys out. They were peeping in the windows banging on the doors and some were let in. No more pj party for them at my house. lol
ReplyDeleteFun post! My kids still host and attend sleepovers (a misnomer--no one gets much sleep) or pajama parties. :)
ReplyDeleteHow fun. I remember them from my youth...way back in the dark ages. We called them slumber parties, but who slumbered? Better to call them PJ parties and forget the sleeping.
ReplyDeletewow it's so funny, I'm envious here, I have never had this opportunity to enjoy such a lovely Party!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures!

What a phantastic idea! We had them when I was a teenager and so did my daughters, but I never thought about having one now at my age. But heck! So many of us are single again that it might just be a lot of fun. And this time we could DRINK! :D
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun idea! I loved pajama parties as a kid and would love as an adult too I am sure!
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo! Love those red hot pajamas! I think about pajama parties but wonder how long I can stay up for!
ReplyDeleteYey, for pyjama parties, any parties. Never too old.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like I missed out on something here: I never had a pyjama party! (sniff) They look like fun!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun idea. I would love to do that when my husband is out of town. We could use his hot tub and have a sleep-over, and giggle all night. The dog would love it, too.
ReplyDeleteA Perfect Party for the letter P.

ReplyDeleteAnd reminded me of the children's book If You Give A Pig a Party, which ends up with a PJ party.

Pyjama parties look like lots of fun for the ladies! I've never been to one.
ReplyDeleteA pj party sounds great. My sister-in-law from California came in 3 years ago and held one at the house for all her nieces and nephew. My kids were so young they barely remember. I think it is time for another. We had a blast.

Oh yes...pajama parties (aka slumber parties where no slumber occurred!) I remember mine as a kid as well as my daughters' when they were young. I think you're right, they would be more fun as adults!
ReplyDeleteI am envious! I don't remember ever having a pyjama party as a child or teenager. It just wasn't something we did! But I have done something similar as an adult with some great girl friends and it was enormous fun!
ReplyDeleteI've never been to one but my daughters love having pajama parties with their cousins. And they always have fun.
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting The Learning Center. I hope you have a beautiful and restful weekend. Blessings!
Pajama parties were such a blast when I was a pre-teen and young teenager. I've gone to women's conferences as an adult and had just as much fun at night as I did when I was a kid.
ReplyDeletelooks like a fun pajama party!
