Musing Mondays

Musing Mondays (Oct.25)

October 25, 2010
This week’s musing asks…
About how many books (roughly) would you say you own? (If you don’t have a clue how many, do you care to know? Why, or why not?)
I own roughly 230 books. My library is much smaller than most, but I keep adding and giving books away. So it varies, but this week it is 230.

  1. I like the idea of having a more controllable number. When I moved in here, I had gotten rid of a lot...but then I shelved them in my bookcases, etc., and didn't list them anywhere.

    Here's what I wrote:

Click on my name for the link....

  2. Did you actually count them or do you have it catalogued on a spread sheet? How do you keep track of your books? Must have been a good book to finish it that fast this weekend. Have a great week but I'll be stopping by throughout the week.

  3. @CMash... I counted them, and tried to remember who borrowed what, so I took a wild guess at that, I thing there are 10 borrowed ones.

  4. Each time we move I lose so many books, not that I want to but I do save the ones I will read over and over and new ones or cumulative.

  5. Wow! I have no ideas how many books I/we have! :)

  6. That should be enough to keep you reading for a while ..LOL

  7. That's a nice collection of books. Reading all these blogs makes my collection grow and grow.

  8. I have no idea how many books I have... there are still plenty here that belong to our 4 daughters too. I will say that there are 6 bookshelves full! And all have been read!

  9. I don't collect books generally (except for a few of sentimental value). So when I am done with my reading, I generally pass on the wealth of knowledge to be shared with those who are interested.
