What are you reading right now? What made you choose it? Are you enjoying it? Would you recommend it? (And, by all means, discuss everything, if you’re reading more than one thing!)
Right now I am reading "Katie" by Glenn Plaskin. I chose this book because I am a pet lover and love reading things about dogs, and cats. I always enjoy reading about their antics, and the way they bring joy into other peoples lives. I know my Joey, and Miss Molly bring a lot of joy into my life. Why did I choose to read it right now? Because I had just read a book that was a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT, and I needed something to cheer me up. Did it work? YES. I find when I need cheering up, if I read something about animals it always does the trick. (Pun intended.)

Would I recommend it? Definitely, especially if you are a pet lover, as I am. I would say it is more of a book for pet lovers, but, I think anyone could enjoy reading it.

I am also listening to "Home" by Julie Andrews. It is a Memoir of her early years. I chose this book because I have always liked Julie Andrews, (since the first time I saw her in a TV live performance many, many years ago, I think it was Cinderella.) I chose this book to listen to because it is a pretty thick book to read, also, it is something I can listen to as I crochet.

I would recommend it to anyone who likes Memoirs, and yes I am enjoying it.

How about you, what are you reading?

  1. I remember seeing that "Cinderella" show on TV, too, and loving it. Julie Andrews' memoirs should be a great read. Or a great "listen," in this case!

I like reading books about animals, too - so long as they're not violent or too sad. I can take the disturbing stuff when the story is about humans, but not when it's about animals!

  2. The Julie Andrews audio must be quite interesting with all of her accomplishments. I have to admit, I have never "listened" to a book. I may try it when my post op restrictions are lifted and "listen" to a book while cleaning the house.
