1. Favorite childhood book?
Cinderella.
2. What are you reading right now?
Seven Year Switch.
3. What books do you have on request at the library?
What Cheer.
4. Bad book habit?
Bending the spine.
5. What do you currently have checked out at the library?
None right now.
6. Do you have an e-reader?
 No.
7. Do you prefer to read one book at a time, or several at once?
 One at a time.
8. Have your reading habits changed since starting a blog?
 To a degree.
9. Least favorite book you read this year (so far?)
 Sundays at Tiffany's. Hated that book. 
10. Favorite book you’ve read this year?
Mr. Darcy Broke My Heart
11. How often do you read out of your comfort zone?
 Very seldom.
12. What is your reading comfort zone?
 Cozy mystery, light romance.
13. Can you read on the bus?
 I don't ride a bus.
14. Favorite place to read?
 In My Reading Corner in my bedroom or on the enclosed porch.
15. What is your policy on book lending?
 I try not to lend books I haven't read yet.
16. Do you ever dog-ear books?
 Never, that is what bookmarks are for.
17. Do you ever write in the margins of your books?
 Very seldom.
18.  Not even with text books?
 Yes, I do write in study books.
19. What is your favorite language to read in?
   English, I only know english.
20. What makes you love a book?
 If it has a good storyline, and keeps my interest.
21. What will inspire you to recommend a book?
 If I liked it.
22. Favorite genre?
 Cozy romantic mystery.
23. Genre you rarely read (but wish you did?)
  More biographies.
Favorite biography?
 Right now I am listening to Julie Andrews "Home" on CD.
25. Have you ever read a self-help book?
 Once or twice.
26. Favorite cookbook?
   Really old cookbook my Mother-in-law gave me 51 years ago.
27. Most inspirational book you’ve read this year (fiction or non-fiction)?
    God's Word For Us Through Jeremiah.
28. Favorite reading snack?
  Tea.
29. Name a case in which hype ruined your reading experience.
   Can't think of any right now. I usually don't get involved in Hype books, they are usually not the kind of books I read. Examples: Harry Potter, Twilight books, etc.
30. How often do you agree with critics about a book?
   I choose my own reading, and often read the critics reviews just to see if they agree with my viewpoints.
31. How do you feel about giving bad/negative reviews?
  If the book is deserving of a negative review from my standpoint I give it. 
32. If you could read in a foreign language, which language would you chose?
 French.
33. Most intimidating book you’ve ever read?
   Can't think of any.
34. Most intimidating book you’re too nervous to begin?
  Can't think of any.
35. Favorite Poet?
 Right now, Kat Mortensen.
36. How many books do you usually have checked out of the library at any given time?
 When I check out books I usually end up with 2 or 3.
37. How often have you returned book to the library unread?
  I just recently returned one unread, I was to busy to get it read, so bought it and will read it later.
38. Favorite fictional character?
    Stephanie Plum.
39. Favorite fictional villain?
   Don't have one.
40. Books I’m most likely to bring on vacation?
 Murder, She Wrote. 
41. The longest I’ve gone without reading.
   I'm always reading something, but a novel, maybe a month.
42. Name a book that you could/would not finish.
    "Risk No Secrets" by Cindy Gerard.
43. What distracts you easily when you’re reading?
  Loud TV in the other room. People talking when I'm trying to read.
44. Favorite film adaptation of a novel?
  Nights of Rodanthe, by Nicholas Sparks.
45. Most disappointing film adaptation?
   Message In A Bottle.
46. The most money I’ve ever spent in the bookstore at one time?
  $100.
47. How often do you skim a book before reading it?
  If I'm not sure, I read the book flap.
48. What would cause you to stop reading a book half-way through?
  If it gets full of smut, or to much blood, guts and beer, as the saying goes.
49. Do you like to keep your books organized?
  Yes.
50. Do you prefer to keep books or give them away once you’ve read them?
 If I think I may read them again, I keep them. Otherwise, I donate them to the local library, or sell them to the Used Bookstore.
51. Are there any books you’ve been avoiding?
   Yes, John Grisham books.
52. Name a book that made you angry.
   A Painted House, by John Grisham. Playing For Pizza, by John Grisham. Hated them both, kept reading thinking they would get better, they were boring from cover to cover.
53. A book you didn’t expect to like but did?
  The No. 1 Detective Agency series. When it was on HBO for three months I ordered HBO for three months and watched the TV series.
54. A book that you expected to like but didn’t?
The Three Weissmanns of Westport.
55. Favorite guilt-free, pleasure reading?
   Debbie Macomber's books. Love them.

  1. Isn't it great to have recipe books passed down. The only problem with some of my grandmother's recipe was the direction..."a little of this ingriedient". She lived to be 101 yrs old and what is so special to me is the fact that my boys have said they want "her recipe book"

  2. Not many bus riders in today's list.

    Yes! Bookmarks - I love 'em! But I tend to accumulate too many - same problem I have with books.

    Haven't read anything by John Grisham, although I'm not really avoiding him. His books don't really sound like my cuppa tea, though.

  3. Not many e readers either! I am a fan of bookmarks as well - got loads and I make them!

    I agree about Debbie Macomber - can absorb these quickly but thoroughly enjoy them.

  7. Wow! That is a lot of questions! I couldn't begin to answer them all! But, I will say this...as far as what book I've ever read that I didn't like or that I hated.....I don't read them! :D
    If I don't like them by Chapter 2, I say adios. Life is too short to spend it reading a book I don't like!! Have a great weekend, Ann!
