"Teaser Tuesdays"

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB ofShould Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
My teaser this week is from "The Three Weissmanns of Westport, by Cathleen Schine.  I have been enjoying it, I'm about half way through the book.

Felicity got out of bed, as she had gotten into it, hating the house. The tiny chambers, the sea pounding in her ears--it was like being buried, impotent and rotting, forced to listen to that mocking, immortal sound. And now the snoring. Buried alive with the sea and a snorer. pg. 215.

Sorry, I guess that was more than two sentences, I got carried away.
