Do you have friends and family to share books with? Discuss them with? Does it matter to you?
My daughters and I read books, but, rarely discuss them. They do live in another state about 900 miles from me, I guess that makes a difference.  I have a few friends that are readers, but, we don't really discuss them. The only friend that I discuss a book with occasionally, is a friend who borrows my books reads them and then we discuss them briefly. It really makes no difference to me whether I discuss what I read with someone or not. When I read a really good book it would be fun to discuss it with a friend who also read it, but, all in all I have my own genre of books I read and they have theirs.  But, I do like reading what others say about the books I've read, or will be reading on their book blogs.

  1. I only have 2 people that love books as much as me and unfortunately they live out of state. My entire BTT response is here

  2. Hi Ann! I love to read, too, although I don't seem to have as much to do it, as I used to....I know one very big reason why --- Time Spent Blogging!...which can be looked at as both a bad and good thing. "Bad" because it takes me away from so many other activities AND chores!!...and it's "Good" because I've met so many wonderful people (you included of course!) through my blogging..Feel free to e-mail me about any books you're reading or have read! I always like to suggest books, too, although like you said, everyone kind of has their own genre they like. Have a great day!

  3. Hi Momma,
I do like to read, I get that from you, although I don't have much time to curl up and read like I would like to. Sometimes I like to discuss a book I have read but most of the time I will keep my thoughts to myself :)
    Enjoy reading everyone

  4. I have really enjoyed sharing my book love with other bloggers...something I don't have in my "real" life.

I can't remember the last time my friends or family shared my interests in reading. We all have different tastes. Some of my family members don't even like to read, which is appalling to me, and hard to imagine...but that's how it goes sometimes.

  5. That's the beautiful thing about book blogging! You can be surrounded by people who don't read, or don't like your genre, but there's always your fellow book bloggers, and someone out there likes what you like.

    Happy readings!

  6. Being far away is tough on discussions unless you're on the phone a lot. My girls are still at home so we do take books frequently.
    Have a great BTT.

  7. I share books with my mother, although we don't really discuss them as much as we used to when we lived in the same time zone - or even the same country!

I do discuss books with girlfriends, but not as often as I'd like.

Btw, I love your "Friday Finds." May I steal it?
