WWW..Wednesdays. 6/23/10

To play along, just answer the following three (3) questions…
* What are you currently reading?
* What did you recently finish reading?
* What do you think you’ll read next?

Today was my day to play along with the meme W.W.W. Wednesdays. However, we had a storm this morning and I think lightning hit one of the main transformers in town, and we were without electric or internet. Therefore, I am a bit late with my meme.

I am currently reading The Penny Pinchers Club, by Sarah Strohmeyer. It is a fun read, and this morning it made the morning go by much quicker, since I had no electric, and got to set on my front porch and read away.

I recently read Sing, by Lisa T. Bergren. It too was an enjoyable read. It was the first book I have read by this author. But somewhere on someone's reading blog, they gave it a good review.

I think I will be reading Twisted Creek, by Jodi Thomas next. I again read a review on someone's reading blog about the new book Jodi Thomas has written, but my library didn't have it. So I did the next best thing, I checked out this book by Jodi written in 2008.

It seems that every book I notice on someone's reading blog, is either to new, or they don't have anything by that author. Sometimes they can order it from another library for me which is nice. I have been trying to cut back on buying so many books, and take advantage of the public library, but we are a small town, and they can't order them until they are 6 months old. That is just one of the woes of living in a small town. But, I love it here.

  1. I agree with you, public libraries are great. I'm trying not to buy books either, no space left! I do occasionally buy from charity shops and then I can give them back again.

I've started reading the Patrick O'Brian series of historical naval novels. I don't understand half of the nautical terms used but the characters and stories are wonderful.
