"Teaser Tuesdays" 6/8/10

teasertuesdays31 Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of "Should Be Reading." Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title &  author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

June had just begun, and with it, Debra's seventh week in the house. As the weather became truly warm, she spent much of her time outdoors, writing perched in the old wooden swing, walking through the yard and the woods beyond, often simply basking in the sun with an eye on Graham, who, having finished shingling the roof, had moved on to the side walls, working with painstaking care to complete the outer surface of the house before moving inside.

"The Carpenter's Lady" is a book by Barbara Delinsky,  I found it at the half-priced bookstore for a dollar and couldn't pass it up, especially since I have just recently found I like the writings of author Barbara Delinsky, so I guess we could call it my catch up reading, of some of Barbara's older books.

As I read the book, I will just have to remember it was written in 1983,,, the time of the typewriter, and no cell phones, Facebook, twitter, my space, or  blogs.  I am looking forward to a fun read this week.

What will you be reading this week?
